Can you help with plantar fasciitis?
Yes, plantar fasciitis is one of the most common foot conditions we treat. It is often managed conservatively - with soft-tissue work, joint mobilization and targeted rehab - without surgery. We treat the whole kinetic chain - foot, ankle, calf and hip - because plantar fasciitis is frequently influenced by mechanics further up the leg, not just the arch itself. Many patients report improvement over several weeks. Individual results vary.
Do I need custom orthotics?
Sometimes, but rarely on day one. We focus first on fixing how the foot, ankle and hip move, then decide whether orthotics will actually help. Orthotics are a support, not a fix. If the foot doesn't move well, propping it up rarely solves the underlying pain long-term, so we make sure the mechanics are addressed first and use orthotics selectively when they genuinely help.
Do I need an x-ray or MRI first?
No. We start with a full exam and only order imaging when it will change your plan. If you already have imaging, bring it along. Ordering imaging you don't need is expensive and rarely changes the plan. When it's warranted, we coordinate it locally and review results together with you before adjusting your treatment plan.
How long until I can walk and stand without pain?
Most patients feel meaningful relief within the first few visits. A clear timeline and endpoint are part of your report of findings. Chronic cases that have been building for years take longer than fresh flare-ups, and every treatment plan is re-evaluated at set milestones so you always know exactly where you stand and what's next.
Do I need a referral?
Many patients can begin care without a referral. Referral and authorization requirements can vary by service and insurance plan, so our team will verify any applicable requirements before care begins.
