Frequently Asked Questions

Workers' Comp Care: Your Questions Answered

What Injured Employees and Case Managers Ask Before Starting Care with Us.

Do I need approval before being seen?
Requirements vary by employer and carrier. We're experienced with both directed and employee-choice scenarios and can guide you through what your specific claim needs. Illinois workers' comp gives injured employees more provider choice than most workers realize. We help you understand what your specific claim allows and get care started without unnecessary delays.
Will I have to pay anything out of pocket?
For approved workers' compensation claims, care is billed directly to the carrier and copays, deductibles and coinsurance do not apply. If your claim is pending or denied, we'll review your options with you before treatment begins. If you've been asked to pay something out of pocket, that's often a paperwork issue and we'll help sort it out.
Do you communicate with my case manager and employer?
Yes. We maintain direct communication with case managers, adjusters and employers throughout the entire claim, including work-status updates and progress reporting. Case managers and adjusters get the reports they need in the format they expect. That includes work-status updates after key visits, treatment progress summaries and clear return-to-work milestones.
Can you help me get back to work?
Return-to-work planning is part of every workers' comp case here - including light-duty recommendations and structured progression back to full duty. Every plan includes clear, well-documented work-status recommendations - light duty, restrictions or full duty - written in the language employers and carriers expect. The goal is a safe, documented return to full duty without re-injury.
How quickly can I be seen?
Same-day and next-day appointments are typically available across our Carol Stream, St. Charles and West Dundee clinics. If you're in acute pain or dealing with a fresh injury, call the clinic directly and we'll do everything we can to get you in the same day, including working you in between scheduled patients when needed.
Will I get the documentation my claim needs?
Yes. Detailed exam findings, treatment notes, work-status reports and outcome documentation are part of how we handle every workers' comp case. Detailed exam findings, treatment notes, work-status reports and final outcome documentation are prepared in the format attorneys, adjusters and case managers actually use.
